Higgins Armory

Wow...I went to the Higgins Armory in Worcester on a field trip when I was a kid...it kind of blows my mind to be here again! I remember leaving the museum with a piece of "chain mail"...did I spell that right? And, yes, after all these years, the place looks the same. Very cool...built to look like a real castle and filled with an enormous collection of medieval paraphernalia. The knights look small! The armor isn't much taller than me (I'm short)....in this heat, the museum is cool and dark...and the hands-on section is fun. I get my geek on and try on some helmets...they're so heavy! My boys would love it here...I definitely plan to come back. Have fun!
