Tony Snow, the White House press secretary, will leave his post on Sept. 14.
Dana Perino, chief deputy, will replace him, an administration official has told the Associated Press. President Bush is to announce the changes during an appearance at the start of the press secretary's televised briefing at 12:45 pm EDT in the White House press briefing room.
Snow, a former host of Fox News TV and radio who is battling colon cancer, already had announced that he would leave before the end of Bush’s presidency due to financial pressures.
Perino has often stood in, during Snow's absences since a recurrence of the cancer that was in remission when he accepted the press secretary's post early last year.

You know, of course, that the next President will turn things around and be righteous and forthright and never lie or fabricate and will be loved by all and save this planet...right?
During the 90's Clinton was the devil, and during the early 90's the other Bush was leadig us to ruins, and before that Reagan was taking us down (yes, despite the common love for him now, back in the 80's he was despised by plenty of folks), and of course that trend has gone on forever and always will.
Wake up people! If Kerry were in office, we would not be in Iraq AND there would be no shortage of people (maybe even more) who would be complaining that we still hadn't gotten those terrorists back and that we were not being aggressive enough o protect ourselves and that we needed to go after the terrorists and blah, blah, blah.
Bush is not the problem. Whoever is prez is always the "problem". Our inability to ever accept the fact that our current govermental structure will always produce 2nd guessing and ignorant experts is!

Tony Snow was a shill when he was on Faux News. He was an apologist as press secretary.

If anyone has seen Tony Snowjob lately, he looks gravely ill. I feel for him regarding his battle with cancer but on the flip side didn't appreciate how he was deceitful, dishonest, and less than forthcoming with his answers.
Bimbo Dana Perrino will be stepping up to continue with the lies and spin.

When Tony Snow hosted Fox News Sunday, he was just as tough, if not tougher, on Republicans compared to Democrats. It's more than I can say for the Democratis shills Tim Russert, George Stephanopoulos and that old man on CBS.
