Thompson's high school football coach said that Fred could have obtained good grades, but that he was lazy. That he always looked for the easy way out. That pretty much summed up his senate career. It was said that he was the first person to rush out the door of the senate office building, instead of trying to do a credible job. His only asset is that he played the role of a leader in movies so often that people confused the actor from the real person. I would hope that we could elect a president that will truly be the leader of the country, rather than just a front man.

Do you think he'll rent another old pickup truck and play the "folksy politician" role again? That may be a harder act to sell now, coming right after the silver spoon fed, Ivy league edumacated, brush-cutting rancher.

IF HE CAMPAIGNS ON CLOSING THE BORDER FIRST THEN WORKING ON APPEASING THE LEFT, I'D VOTE FOR HIM IN A HEART BEAT.

This is the wonderful thing about actors - they reach out, seduce us and we fall in love with them on the small or big screen. In many instances, while portraying those fictional and non-fictional roles; they convinced us that they are bigger than life. Actors should remain actors - not start political careers based on the popularity of their last television show or movie. And yes, extremely powerful and success politicians are just as charismatic as many actors. However, the preference would be to see them on the big screens which after every performance it fades to black then witness, if bad, the performance at the White House – which is forever recorded in history.

I don't see Fred Thompson as the savior of the Republican party as some seem to. But anyone who has read his columns or listened to his radio broadcasts has to admit that he is a THINKER, whether you agree with him or not. He analyzes and thinks outside the box. He doesn't just speak in meaningless platitudes like all of the other front-runners of both parties. That is a welcome change.

WOW all this over an actor the DEM's are getting worried I mean come on. You people havent had an idea but quit and run and raise taxes for how many years. As a Vet there is no way I want you in my white house. So please go back and stick your heads up you azz and let the work be done.
