Motherload of Savings

CALLING ALL MOMS....AND DADS.

When Kimberly Danger went on maternity leave in 2000...she had some extra time to fiddle around with developing her own web page. She also had the need to figure out ways to stretch her budget. With a child on the way...every dollar counted. She created mommysavers.com after teaching herself about web design. It started out very simple and rather bare bones. Kimberly only had around 20 pages of content with ways for Moms to save a few bucks.Slowly, interest began to build and now her site boasts 3 million page views per month. So what makes mommysavers.com so appealing?

THE "FACEBOOK" OF FRUGAL MOMS

Kimberly's site is more than just a collection of coupons and links. Users can sign up for free and be given their own page in which to post tips and ideas on where to get the bargains. And when groups are regionalized..it makes it easy for members to share specific ideas and bargains for their particular area. The site also provides useful discussions and articles on personal finance..cooking...crafts and decorating. And the savings can be instaneous. On the site this week..printable coupons for baby formula, toys, food and beauty supplies

ONE MOM MAKING THE MOST...

Melissa Stuyvniski watches every dollar. She has to. With 3 kids, 7 cats, and a hungry husband..she has no choice but to find any and every bargian she can. She stumbled across mommysavers.com a few years ago and credits the site with helping her scope out bargains at her local stores. She even gets personal finance advice from the site. And when she finds a coupon she likes..she prints it out in black and white so she can save on her color cartridge. She has even become a moderator on the site for her region. She scurries around to various stores near her Jewitt City home and makes notes about sales and bargains and then lists them for fellow members. One nugget she especially likes....use vinegar for household cleaning..it's cheaper and can used on just about anything.

Evelyn Parker:

I went to the mommysavers.com website and tried to get the coupons there. I was asked to install a coupon printer, and when I did, my virusware notified me of adware and spyware trying to access my computer. You might want to consider posting a warning someplace about that, either on this site, or on-air.

HI Evelyn

The coupons.com printer is safe to use and install. Its the software that gives this message, they have to identify your IP address to keep track of how many coupons you have printed. This is a HUGE part of how they keep the coupons free from Fraud and stores allow us to use them. They do NOT install spyware.

If you continue to have a problem, please check out the FAQ page at www.Coupons.com.

If you have anymore questions about mommysavers.com or the coupon printers, please feel free to email me anytime. Thanks!
